Will County Jury Commission

The function of the Jury Commission is to qualify jurors for service to the Courts as a Petit or Grand  Juror and to make available sufficient numbers as required.  The source for these potential jurors is a combined list of the drivers, voters, IL identification card and IL disabled ID cardholders of Will County.

Trial by Jury is a keystone of our system of justice.  Jury service is therefore, both an opportunity and an obligation of every American citizen.

If you are being considered for jury service in the Will County Circuit Court.  A Juror Qualification Questionnaire will be mailed to you. The questionnaire is a way of obtaining information about you from which we can objectively determine whether you are qualified to serve as a juror pursuant to state law.

If you have questions pertaining to your jury service, visit the Juror FAQ's page. You may also contact the Jury Commission during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. To best serve you, due to high call volume, our office suggests that you call regarding general information Tuesday through Friday. The Will County Courthouse is closed all legal holidays.

i-Juror/ Jury Commission Software

I-Juror is the software used to select Jurors for matters at the Will County Courthouse.  Will County jurors are randomly selected from a number of sources including but not limited to voter registration records, driver's licenses and state issued ID cards.  Once potential jurors complete a questionnaire, they are placed into a pool whereby individuals are randomly selected (by computer) to show up for a given period of time to satisfy their jury service.

It is the goal of the 12th Judicial Circuit to select juries that reflect a cross-section of the County demographically, economically, racially and geographically.
