A mandatory Foreclosure Mediation Program was created by the Twelfth Judicial Circuit for residential owner-occupied properties where the foreclosure was filed after August 1, 2010. The program is funded solely through a filing fee paid by the plaintiff filing the foreclosure. No tax dollars were utilized in the creation or operation of this program.
If your case is eligible for mediation, you will receive information when a summons is served upon you. The following should provide you with some basic questions and answers regarding the program. As always, if you have specific questions of a legal nature or require legal advice, please contact an attorney of your choice. Court personnel are not permitted to provide legal advice.
